*****This is an antique Victorian locket for repair or for a project. It is missing
the pin stem and the bale at the top. If repaired, this could be worn as a pendant
or a brooch. It looks like there was an earlier repair to the pin, as there is a roll
over safety clasp still in place. *****
Now about the locket. It is a tri color piece. Green, pink and yellow color metal.
I do believe that some of the pieces are gold. The main base of the piece looks to
be rolled gold. I have not tested any of it. You can see wear to what I believe to
be rolled gold. (See Pics) The center piece is hand painted enamel. There are
applied green leaves. Applied flowers. There is a seed pearl set in a pronged
setting at the bottom. There is an empty setting at the top. Most likely held
a pearl as well.
On the back is the locket or hidden compartment. To open, just pry it open
with your fingernail. It contains the original glass and paper. This piece dates
to the 1860s to 1870s.
IMPORTANT about Condition:
-----Missing bale
-----Missing pin stem
-----Missing one stone or pearl
-----Some discoloration and wear to the metal
Measurements:
2 " by 1 1/8" (at widest point)

Antique Georgian Woven Hair Flower Seed Pearls Pin - For Restoration - C1820
An antique Georgian woven hair and seed pearls pin. The woven hair,
done in the shape of a flower, is under beveled glass. Surrounded by
natural seed pearls. ( Six pearls are missing.) I have not tested the
metal content of this piece. It looks to be a low karat gold. Selling as
gold tone. It has three initials engraved on the back. Simple C clasp
that is in working order. This pin dates to the 1820s to 1830s. Most
likely a mourning piece. It is in need of restoration and has been priced
accordingly.
Measurements: 3/4" by 5/8" Condition: ---There six tiny pearls missing from the pin. ---Some dents on the back of pin. Also some discoloration. ---Has not been cleaned. Needs restoration |

Large Antique Victorian Faux Tortoise Shell Angel Locket - Tintypes
Large Antique Victorian Faux Tortoise Shell Angel Locket - Tintypes
First and most important! This is no perfect angel! This locket has damage
and I feel this locket SHOULD NOT BE WORN! It is more for the serious
collector. For restoration. To be studied or displayed.
Even with it's damage, it is a very rare example of Victorian jewelry C1860.
This is a large faux tortoise shell antique locket. It has a high relief angel or
cupid on the front. Tintypes inside. Please look at all of the photos in the
listing to see the condition. Be sure and click on the larger views. I have
combined some photos so you can see every possible angle of this locket.
IMPORTANT about Condition:
The back has major loss. The front has cracks and two small circles. The
original glass and rims are still in place and there are two fabulous Victorian
tintypes of ladies still inside. One glass and frame will not stay in place
when opened because of the crack. BUT the locket opens and closes.
Stays closed when shut.
Measurements:
2 1/8" tall...this includes the bale 1 3/8" wide 1/2" from the back of the locket to the top of the angel |
